Making optimum use of your contributions

NPH’s financial reporting shows how we strive to make the best possible use of our donors’ contributions. We seek to keep operating expenses as low as possible. We carefully assign all donated funds and publish an annual report and financial statement every year.

Our Annual Report

Our latest annual report from 2023 is published on the website of the Charity Commission for England and Wales. You can also download it directly.

In 2022 and 2023, we provided grants of over £147,500 to our 9 programme countries. We funded the life-saving work of NPH Haiti’s St. Damien Paediatric Hospital with a substantial contribution towards their Emergency Room programme made possible by a generous corporate donation. We continued to support staffing costs at NPH Haiti’s special needs programmes that work with children and adults with disabilities. As part of our wider healthcare provision, we contributed towards NPH Honduras and Nicaragua disability programmes, specifically to support the well-being and development of children and young adults with disabilities at Casa de los Angeles in Honduras and to provide specialist care, therapy and support to children with disabilities in the ‘Buen Samaritano’ programme in Nicaragua.

In the area of education, we supported NPH Nicaragua with the purchase of new academic books for the students and teachers to use at its on-site schools. We contributed to NPH Peru’s nutrition programme and helped to fund NPH Guatemala’s day care centre which provides young children with a safe place to develop while enabling their families to earn a decent income.

Thanks to our generous child sponsors, we provided funding for children living in residential care at NPH in a nurturing and safe environment. The funds enabled these children to benefit from a nutritious diet, receive healthcare and emotional support, progress with their education and enjoy a variety of leisure activities. We also contributed to the ‘OneFamily’ reintegration programme in Honduras that supports children to live with their family after a period in residential care at NPH.
