Social Media Manager

About the Opportunity

We’re looking for a creative, strategic and hands-on Social Media Manager to completely rethink and reinvent our social media presence.

This role goes beyond scheduling posts — you’ll help define who we are online, how we talk about what we do, and how we connect with new audiences who care about child rights and social impact.

If you’re excited by building something meaningful from the ground up and using social media as a force for good, this role is for you.

What you’ll do

  • Help develop a clear social media strategy aligned with NPH UK’s mission and goals
  • Create and curate engaging content (posts, stories, short-form video, campaigns)
  • Grow and engage our audience across platforms (especially LinkedIn, Instagram and Facebook)
  • Identify opportunities for storytelling, partnerships and campaigns
  • Track performance and recommend improvements using insights and analytics
  • Advise on best practices and emerging social media trends for charities

Who we’re looking for

  • Experience managing or growing social media accounts (personal, professional or volunteer)
  • Strong understanding of content strategy, storytelling and audience growth
  • Creative thinker who isn’t afraid to challenge what’s been done before
  • Comfortable working independently and proactively
  • Passion for social impact, child rights and the non-profit sector

Why volunteer with us

  • Make a real, measurable impact by shaping how a charity is seen and heard
  • Freedom to experiment, innovate and leave your mark
  • Flexible, remote role that fits around your schedule
  • Build or strengthen your portfolio in social impact and digital strategy
  • Be part of a purpose-driven, supportive team
  • Connect with an organisation working in 21 countries

Time commitment: Flexible commitment of around 2 hours per week

Location: Fully remote

Status: Volunteer role

Please complete the following form, attaching your CV (required) and a cover letter (optional). You’ll hear from us within two weeks after the deadline on 14th June 2026.
